Draft Constitution

One of the first orders of business, at least for the Committee, is to come up with a draft constitution for the Choir, which can then be voted on at the first AGM. The significance of the constitution is that it is a basic requirement for all sorts of funding applications. As an organisation that takes money from people for a service it’s also good practice for us to be open and transparent about how we operate. Once a draft constitution has been produced it will be posted here to allow choir members to comment before we take it to a vote at the AGM.

The Committee

The Monmouth Community Choir Committee is currently made up of 10 people. As the choir has only just been formed (we started in November 2018) we haven’t yet had an AGM so none of the Committee members have been voted in by the choir – so this is an interim Committee until the first AGM which should take place some time in March.
